MinimallyInavasiveTherapy
If surgery is not an option for you, there are other alternatives that may suit you just fine.
One option is microwaving the prostate gland. A specific foley produced specifically for this procedure is inserted into the prostate via the urethra. Microwaved energy is used to focus its heat on the prostate gland and diminishthe tissue wished gone. It is a minimally invasive procedure which will relieve the obstruction within the urethra. Transurethral microwave of the prostate gland (TUMT) reduces the symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate while leaving sexual function untouched. This procedure is done within 30 minutes in the doctor’s office with local anesthesia and only 4-6 weeks to see improvements.
Another option is the Green Light Laser Therapy. A laser fiber is inserted into the urethra by a catheter. Once inserted, under local anesthesia, the laser fiber heats and burns off unwanted prostate tissue, which diminishes throughout time. A one day hospital stay is required and all normal activities may be resumed two weeks post procedure.
As unwanted as it is, practically all men will unfortunately experience prostate related problems througout their lives. As much as these unwanted problems can affect a person as well as their partners life, an annual examination along with  a PSA blood test can be the most effective way of prevention and preservation.
